INTERESTED IN RESEARCHING A WOMAN FILM PIONEER?
The Women Film Pioneers Project (formerly the Women Film Pioneers Sourcebook) is now online. The project is based at the Columbia University. Please contact the editorial team if you would like to contribute an entry on a British or American woman (more information about contributing can be found on the WFPP website).
The Women Film Pioneers Project features silent-era producers, directors, co-directors, scenario writers, scenario editors, camera operators, title writers, editors, costume designers, exhibitors, and more. It is keen to emphasise the point that women pioneers were not only actresses.
A number of WSBC contributors have been, or are currently, working on entries for some of the British women film pioneers to be included in this resource. The letters (SB [=source book]) identify these researchers on the Homepages of individual women pioneers listed on this site.
