|Mason took a degree at Manchester University c. 1914 and worked for the Ministry of Food and then the Pelman Institute.
Author of ‘Through a Woman’s Eyes’, a regular Kinematograph Weekly column throughout 1921.
This attracted the attention of Sir Oswald Stoll, owner of the Stoll Picture Cinemas and Stoll Picture Productions. Mason became the editor of Stoll Picture Theatre house organ, The Stoll Herald, and took over management of the Stoll Picture Theatre Club, founded by Leila Lewis in 1918.
