Exhibitor, cinema manageress

In 1911, Miss Jessie Fuller was the manageress of the Parkhurst cinema in Holloway, London. That year, a journalist for The Bioscope trade paper commented: “Whilst writing of the art of management, we should like to pay a tribute to the excellence of the ladies in this sphere. Two of the largest and most successful houses in the London area are controlled by the fair sex with perfect tact, courtesy, and astuteness. The ladies to whom we have the pleasure of referring are Miss Fuller, of the Parkhurst, Holloway, and Mrs. McCullah, at the Biograph Theatre, Kilburn”.

The Bioscope, 19 October 1911, p.161.
